| The Process |
Generally, AEXIUSSM R&D follows this process unless otherwise
required:- high level requirements analysis
- detailed immersion and additional technical requirements
- initial conceptual design
- proof-of-concept / prototyping
- quality assurance traced to the requirements, and
- reiteration as needed.
To help further your goals, we encourage feedback at all stages and provide regular updates. It is of course possible to adapt
to more detailed build requirements and/or methodology to fit our clients' needs, which may be required in larger
collaborations.

IP Improvement Rights Are Yours
|
THE PROBLEM: Some engineering firms tell clients that they own the intellectual
property, but they do not always say that you own any new improvements they make along the way. Also, new
improvements of your invention may be made without your knowledge.
THE SOLUTION: With AEXIUSSM, you retain the intellectual property rights
to the product and improvements. This helps us avoid conflicts of interest (and you are welcome to consult
with your independent counsel).
THE OPPORTUNITIES: That said, when developing the product or prototype or in implementing certain aspects of your invention,
AEXIUSSM may be in a position to offer clients the opportunity to benefit from improvements developed
along the way. This can create a significant value-add by facilitating a seamless flow of specific findings directly
into patent prosecution without increased cycles of untimely and costly communication, thus minimizing costs due to
repeated learning curves from separate parties. Since any time cycle to explain the differences is greatly reduced,
this differentiates us from many development shops and most pure patent firms. Finally, clients can fortify their
market position by "bracketing out" competitors with subsequent applications which claim a new but related invention
that was (at least in part) disclosed in the earlier filed application. A broader patent portfolio can significantly
help a company secure its market position and enhance overall patent protection, thus helping lock in a future for the
company while enhancing its value to potential investors.
